Having a dream wedding on a frugal budget

You can definitely have the wedding of your dreams on a frugal budget.

After securing your venue you should know if the wedding is to be inside or outside? Now is the time to make some other very important decisions: will the wedding take place in the daytime or nightime, will be formal, semi-formal, informal,or casual. This will help to determine how formal the Bride and bridal party will be, of course most any wedding dress can be worn at any type of wedding if that is what the bride wants. Obviously if you are going to be riding in on a Harley the fairy princess gown would not be a wise choice, I mean what would you do with all that material.

The first choice should be what color the bride will wear, white, ivory or another color, next decide what color or colors you would like your attendances to wear. Many brides are now choosing to have their attendants wear shades of a specific color and allowing the attendants to choose the dress style of their choice in that color. This is a great idea, as you know not all bridesmaids look good in the same style of dress.

Finding the perfect wedding dress is fun yet a time full of stress for most brides to be. She wants to look breathtaking on her big day. A bride sometimes needs a little guidance when choosing a dress. But whatever dress she chooses should make her feel like a princess.

Here are a few tips as to what type of wedding dress might suit your body type best.

Hourglass: Two piece and corset dresses look awesome on an hourglass figure. Adress that accentuates the bride’s waist. A beautiful ball gown and corseted bodice normally work for the bust line as well.

Pear shaped: A-line princess style dresses disguise fuller hips and the pear shaped body types best. This also balances torso to bust.

Petite: Clean, unbroken contours without too much fabric tend to elongate.Big Ball gowns and mermaid wedding dress shapes can overwhelm a tiny bride

Tall: From ball gowns, princess line and A- line wedding dresses, straight bridal dresses and mermaid dresses; all are great for the tall bride who can carry almost any dress style. Avoid empire line dresses that can look almost “tent like”.

Fuller waisted: Princess-line and drop waist wedding dresses are most flattering.

Broader shoulder: Wedding tip number #1. Broader shouldered brides should veer from halter and off-the-shoulder necklines, which tend to accentuate the shoulders. Try strapless and scoop necklines.

Fuller busted: Bridal corsets can work magic. You will find reputable names under bridal supplies or bridal accessories. Wedding dresses that are scoop and square necklines enhance bust lines. Widely set apart straps diminish fuller busted figures.

Fuller Arms: Off the shoulder straps or sheer fabric is a great wedding dress tip. In solid fabric, usually three-quarter or long sleeve works best to elongate the line of the arm.

Unconvential Wedding Dresses

Its true, a Bride to be wants to find that perfect dress, many of which cost thousands of dollars. Money does not have to be an issue, where the wedding dress is concerned, there are dozens of sites online that will custom make a dress, to the bride to be's own specific measurements, for a fraction of the price that a Bridal shop would charge. Most of these sites allow you to choose the color you would like to have the dress made in. Obviously a bride to be would want to go to a bridal shop and actually try on some different styles of wedding dresses on to know what looks the best on. Try a wide variety of styles, will it be and necklines, bring a couple of your bridal attendants to give their honest opinions. Once you choose a style then search some of these sites to see if you can find the dress. You will want to order it at least 6 to 8 months before the wedding date to give the seamstress the time they need to create your dress, as well as time to ship and to have the time to return it if you are not totally smitten with it. Attendants

Many of the same online sites custom make Bridesmaid dresses also, buying them all from one vendor would more that likely secure a discount. At least it wouldn't hurt to ask.

Another tip to help in saving money on the attendants dresses would be to check prom, and evening dress sites. The same rule follows for the groom and groomsmen, have then just wear vests, white shirts and ties, and dress pants, instead of renting tuxes, depending on the formality of the wedding, it might be a great solution.

The same can be applied to the flower girl and ring bearer. Find a beautiful communion dress or even an Easter dress in the right color might work. Just because it for a wedding doesn't mean it can't be purchased somewhere other than a bridal shop. Yes it does takes a bit more color coordination by the bride, than just walking into a bridal shop or tux shop and saying I'll take these. But it also saves a huge amount of money. Any bride with an eye for fashion can do it.
